Lake District Farm Tours

New in 2009 are our Lake District farm tours. We are inviting groups of between 12 and 15 people to share the lifestyle and fascination of the workings of Cumbrian farms. We can arrange bespoke packages for the groups which will include:

• the lives of different Cumbrian farms
• the art of dry stone walling
• sheep judging techinques
• show preparation
• caring for the animals

Mayson, a respected breeder of sheep and judge, will give talks about the various types of sheep on the farms and will be joined by different professionals who will explain about animal welfare and other aspects of a Cumbrian sheep farm.

We will arrange accommodation in local guest houses, transport around the Lakes and can suggest a variety of activities on offer for those wanting to explore the Lake District further.
